Serving locally and globally with YWAM Moncton, New Brunswick.

For some of you who have walked with Glenn and I since 1984, when we first started full-time missions, you will know that Glenn passed on to glory on August 19, 2025, after a short intense season of cancer. Some days I still can’t believe he’s gone on ahead! We’ve laboured together side by side in most everything we have done over the past 41 years. We were married in Belize, raised our 3 children overseas and are blessed with many grandchildren who are experiencing the beautify of cultures and Jesus. Glenn is deeply missed. His legacy and undying love for Jesus has changed our lives forever.

As you can imagine, this is a season of much needed grace, like every day. There are just some seasons when we are more aware of our need for grace! That’s my season. So I’m presently in a time of
seeking the Lord about what to lay down, what to pick up, and what to carry on with, as I consider what Glenn and I were involved in since we moved to New Brunswick in June of 2017 to pioneer YWAM Moncton with a heart to see a missions movement in Atlantic Canada.

Your prayers are appreciated. I was blessed in September to be part of the commissioning for Jason and Amanda, to be the new YWAM Moncton directors. I am blessed to walk with these amazing leaders and am happy to follow their leadership. It’s an honour to serve and partner with others in seeing the
Great Commission fulfilled!

Meeting the NEWCOMER to Canada: After living 30 years in Belize and the Dominican Republic I have a passion for the immigrant. Perhaps it’s because I lived as an immigrant for so many decades with my husband and children. One of the tools that God has given is ESL and a gift of innovation and creativity. Through recruiting Christian seniors in our city, we’ve been able to offer ESL classes to over 60 students
each year. It’s been one of the simplest and greatest tools for serving the newcomers and their families. Many of these students have become part of local churches. Every week I’m surprised by how God is working in our midst.

Leadership Training for YWAM Leaders: In 2017 Glenn and I pioneered a MA in Team-Based Communication with the University of the Nations (YWAM’s University). We rallyed a few trusted YWAM leaders to join us in providing training for our international YWAM family. We are now on our 3rd round of this 2 year program and have trained leaders from around the world. Most of the program is online with quarterly 2 week intensives in different parts of the world, where we meet to learn, study, worship and walk together in a physical space. It’s my joy to continue to serve on this international YWAM leadership team as we serve the next group of YWAM leaders next year. We do miss Glenn’s presence, humour and academic leadership gifts greatly.

Mentoring: Whether it’s with grandchildren, the local YWAM team, neighbours, newcomers, I know my passion is loving people even as we come to know Christ and follow Him in the mountains and valleys of life. With Glenn’s passing, I’ve been thrust into the journey of grief, which is something none of us ask for – but it appears on our shores. In my healing journey, God’s been gracious and present even as it’s opened up doors for new vulnerability with so many new relationships. There are tears and smiles every day.
